Nap Cafe Corne7

There have been some questionable cafes popping up in Japan, like one where men pay women to sleep next to them, but the newest specialty sleeping shop to make the rounds on the internet has a pure and innocent motive.

Nap Cafe Corne is a quaint little shop in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo where patrons are invited to take a load off and get some shut-eye for a small fee. It isn’t the only place in Tokyo where you can pay to take a snooze, but Nap Cafe Corne is getting a lot of attention for its cheap prices, attention to detail, and women-only policy.

Nap Cafe Corne targets working women in Tokyo who might be in need of a break in the middle of their long day. The cafe has different areas dedicated to the needs of women on-the-go.

Here is the nap space which has hanging curtains above each couch. In the picture below, the space is being used during a press conference about the opening of the shop.

Once finished napping, there are a number of amenities patrons can enjoy, including a small cafe that serves things like toasted sandwiches, salads and of course drinks.

If you’re wondering when exactly someone would patronize this place, Nap Cafe Corne suggests some of the best times to stop by:

1) When you’re sleepy and had to get up early in the morning
2) When your feet are tired from walking around all day
3) When you got caught in the rain and your clothes are all wet
4) When you have plans late at night and you want to rest up before going out
5) When you want to laze about and think by yourself

You might think you’d rather slip into the nearest McDonald’s to take a break, but at a price of 150 yen (US$1.50) for every ten minutes, Nap Cafe Corne is an inexpensive way to comfortably relax in the middle of a hard day. With a grand opening on November 19, it’s safe to say that this is the newest nap cafe in all of Tokyo.
