We previously introduced you to the daring and rather saucy reviews posted by Korean online shoppers, but it seems even customer reviews can’t be trusted every time. An ingenious netizen in Korea posts product reviews and photos of herself holding each item she’s providing feedback on, which in itself is nothing surprising, but there’s a twist. She doesn’t even own the product.

If you’re thinking that she’s just using one borrowed from a friend or perhaps getting handy with Photoshop, think again.

Here’s how she does it.

Before the big revelation, let’s have a quick look at some of the products this women has “reviewed” to date!

▼ “This is Brand X’s skin lotion, I finally got my hands on it! I’ve heard so much about its multiple benefits. The saying about expensive products being better is indeed true.”

▼ “It even comes with a cap so that the nozzle is kept clean. On the whole, I’m satisfied with how it looks.”

▼ “I heard that the lotion can easily be dispensed with just a gentle push–it’s so convenient! The bottle is really cute too ^^”

▼ “Next up is this Brand Y moisturizing cream, a friend gave it to me. The moment you open the jar, it just smells great. It’s said that you just need to apply a small amount on your face before going to bed, and your skin will be thoroughly moisturized the next morning!”

▼ “Next, I’ll be reviewing this mascara. You should all know by now, if you want your lashes to look long and flirty you should be looking for a mascara with this sort of brush. This will give you pretty lashes!”

▼ “I also got this mini lipstick. Don’t you think the color is gorgeous? Personally, I quite like it!”

▼ “I’ve also heard good reviews for this foundation, a small amount like this is enough to brighten up the whole face!”

“But if you ask me which one is good… I have no idea either.”

▼ “They’re all made of paper ^^”

The ingenious trick definitely didn’t serve its purpose as a trustworthy product review, but it sure managed to get a good laugh out of Korean netizens!

Take a close look at those “review” photos and you can probably tell that this woman is actually just holding the paper she’s snipped out of magazines and product catalogues. Did you fall for her clever trick the first time?
