Despite its prevalence in Japan, the humble daikon is rarely considered a particularly sexy food. They show up in stews, served in convenience stores during the winter, used to create surprisingly cool food art, and occasionally a cruel schoolboy with tell a chubbier female classmate that they have “daikon legs”. But rarely are they considered erotic.

Not this radish, though.

Described as an “erotic madame” daikon, this photo of a peculiarly shaped brassica is currently being shared via Twitter with tremendous speed and being LOLd at the country over. Propped up against that rice bowl, we have to admit it does have a kind of Jessica Rabbit vibe to it…

Of course, this isn’t the first weirdly shaped daikon to make waves online in Japan, but it’s certainly the most seductive. It almost makes us want to, you know, cook it in a stew and serve it to our friends…
