The top three pets are probably cats, dogs, and hamsters. They all have their pros and cons, but when it comes to keeping little furry creatures in your home, those three are probably the most common–and certainly some of the cutest. The number four spot is a bit harder to pin down, but if we had to guess, we’d say it belongs to the noble bunnies. After all, while they might take a bite out of your finger if you’re not careful, there’s not much in this world that is as docile as a bunny, is there?

But that doesn’t mean you don’t need to keep an eye on the long-eared critters. If you’re not careful, you never know what kind of mischief your pet rabbit and its twitchy nose will get into! One Japanese Twitter user learned this the hard (and cute) way…

Earlier this month, Twitter user @MontkSs tweeted the following picture, which has been retweeted over 42,000 times. It’s also created enough wind power from people going “awwwwwww” to power Twitter’s servers for several months, if our imaginary statistics are correct. (They’re probably not.)

“I realized that I hadn’t seen the rabbit that we keep in our home at all today, and spent five minutes looking for it. Well, first of all, I found it, but just how in the hell did you get in there??”

And here’s a close up of the little adventurer!

“It seems like there’s still demand for this, so here’s a straight-on angle of the bunny!”

Well, it’s a mystery how the bunny got itself stuck face-up in the trash, but we’re guessing it must have fallen off of whatever that wooden thing is next to the trash can. Or maybe it was just working on its bicycle kick for the 2018 Bunny World Cup and misgauged its free room. Or perhaps it picked a fight with the wrong Street Fighter?

Aside from the expected cries of “kawaiiiiiiiiiii,” Japanese users had this to say about the stranded bunny:

“It looks like it got stuck and couldn’t move? LOL”

“I just want to pick up the trash bin and take it home!”

“It looks like it went ‘poooof!’ when it fell!”

“It’s so fluffy!!! ヽ(*´ヮ`*)ノ”

“Hurry up and get it out!! LOLOLOL!”

“There’s no way you’re trash, Mr. Bunny!”

“I just want to bury my face in its belly!!!”

“Be more careful, Mr. Bunny!”

Well, we’re just glad the cute creature didn’t meet with an unfortunate trash-compacting end and that it was safely rescued from a rabbit version of 127 Hours. Maybe we’ll get to see a sequel with James Franco in bunny ears?

But, you know, we have to say that what makes this even more adorable is the absolutely placid look on the bunny’s face. It’s clearly a follower of Twitter’s greatest spiritual account, Bunny Buddhism. And we think we’ve found the perfect tweet for this ordeal.

Enjoy your weekend and hop carefully, dear readers, so you don’t find yourself upside down in a trash can!
