They probably told him it couldn’t be done. They said there wasn’t enough resin in the world. Not enough time in the day. No room big enough. Only a Super Saiyan or someone with all the Dragon Balls could possibly build such a thing in the span of a lifetime.
But Dragon Ball Z fan Juanpe, of the Spanish municipality of Jerez de la Frontera, knew it had to be done. He knew the world deserved a gigantic diorama, the size of an entire bedroom, of all the Dragon Ball Z characters re-enacting one of the series’ most famous animated battles in minute detail. And he knew he was the hero to do it.
The Namek Saga, the second major story arc of the Dragon Ball series, features the epic showdown between series protagonist Goku and his band of friends, and the memorable agendered (presumably) reptilian villain, Frieza, and is the subject of this mind bogglingly massive and tear jerkingly beautiful diorama painstakingly handcrafted by Juanpe.
All the major series characters make their appearance and the diorama covers the major events from the Frieza arc. There’s even a recreation of the enormous dragon-like God, Super Shen Long, that very nearly touches the ceiling of the room that is just barely housing the massive work.
Unfortunately, there’s no information on just how Juanpe made the diorama, or from what materials, so we’ll just have to settle for gaping at these photos:
Congratulations, Juanpe. We never believed it could be done.
