Spring has sprung in Japan, and the cherry blossoms will soon be in full bloom. A favorite spring pastime of many Japanese is hanami, or “flower-viewing”, where friends, family and coworkers gather together to have picnics and barbeques under the blooming cherry blossom trees, as a way to welcome the end of winter and enjoy the nice weather and floral display.

Just in time for the season, DOPPELGÄNGER OUTDOOR has released their new solo barbeque grill, just perfect for… all those lone hanami-goers out there?

The solo barbeque grill comes with a grilling net and charcoal tray which all folds up in its compact, portable carrying case, which also acts as the grill’s base. Similar in size and shape to an attaché case, the solo grill is easy to carry, and all you need to do is open it up and set the tray and net in place to get grilling.

The solo, wine-drinking man advertising the grill in the feature photo above gives it a rather lonesome feel, but the grill could work just as well for two, and its portable size makes it perfect for camping, fishing, or even solo touring trips.
