Armed with colored pencils, this artist demonstrates that every story has two sides

Disney and Ghibli are wonderful sources of inspiration for artists around the world. The faraway locations, the magical settings, and the memorable characters stimulate many to create fan art that will blow anyone away. The two gigantic animation studios have been featured multiple times on RocketNews24 before, but this style might be a first.

▼ Jasmine and Rajah from Aladdin

▼ Haku and Spirit of the Kohaku River from Spirited Away

▼Tarzan and Kerchak from Tarzan

Known as Dada on social media, this artist has created portraits of famous Disney and Ghibli characters where one side is one character, and the other is another character with whom they share some sort of deep bond. Using only colored pencils, the finished product is an amazing mash-up of two faces that have truly touched our Disney/Ghibli loving hearts.

▼ Anna and Elsa from Frozen

▼ Belle and The Beast from Beauty and the Beast

▼ San and Moro from Princess Mononoke

Dada says that each picture takes about 10 hours of painstaking layering, which we can definitely believe, and we have to wonder if Dada was watching the matching movie on a 10-hour loop for inspiration. It doesn’t matter though, because the results are absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to see more of it. Which two characters would you like to see mashed-up like this? Let us know in the comments!

▼ Bonus work! Asuka and Unit 2 from Neon Genesis Evangelion
