Chinese cosplayer stuns Japanese netizens with breathtaking pictures of Azur Lane characters

Oct 29, 2017

Gives KanColle cosplayers a run for their money.

Azur Lane is a new battleship-management game for smartphones, and while rather similar to KanColle, it has enough uniqueness to stand on its own. Unfortunately Azur Lane has not been fully accepted by some patriotic Japanese players, but that hasn’t seemed to put a dent in its popularity.

Cosplayers have begun trying their hand at dressing up as one of the many Azur Lane characters, and among them is @sherryken777, a Twitter user and cosplayer from China who has caught the attention of Japanese netizens with her beautiful depictions.

▼ She’s got hands down one of the best cosplays out there of Kaga,
a white nine-tailed fox in Azur Lane.

▼ @sherryken777’s attire is made all the more impressive…

▼ …considering all she had was this one original picture to work with.

▼ Her costume for Akagi from the same game is equally astounding.

▼ Those bushy tails really complete the look.

▼ @sherryken777 has a massive following on Twitter, who have flocked to see her dress up as a host of other characters including Ranko Kanzaki from Idolmaster

▼ …Asuna from Sword Art Online

▼ …and Utaha Kasumigaoka from Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend.

▼ We suspect she has dabbled in a bit of modeling as well,
which would be immensely helpful in her cosplay endeavors.

Cosplay fans will no doubt be thrilled with the new wave of fleet-girl cosplays thanks to Azur Lane, and with a bit of luck Comiket attendees may just catch a glimpse of @sherryken777 when winter comes around.
