Who doesn’t want to look as good as possible — and if a little bit of make-up helps, so much the better, right? Well, the staff at our sister site Pouch found an interesting video from what appears to be a Korean TV program containing some potentially useful beauty tips. And if there’s one thing we know, it’s that women, regardless of age and nationality, are always up for some beauty advice, especially if it doesn’t involve surgery or some other drastic measure (like having a bunch of snails crawl over your face), which is why we thought we’d share this with you. In this case, the video offers advice on how to achieve a double eyelid look using just make-up. So, let’s see how effective the make-up technique is.
Here in Japan and in Korea as well, women tend to consider double eyelids a favorable facial feature. In fact, double eyelid surgery is probably one of the most popular cosmetic procedures that women have done in Japan, as it’s supposedly a relatively uncomplicated procedure. Can regular make-up achieve a similar effect? Take a look at the video below to find out.
The make-up process shown in the video actually looks quite simple:
▼ This is the model’s face before applying the make-up on one eye.
▼ First, draw in a dark line that will act as the double eyelid.
▼ Next, soften the line with a Q-Tip.
▼ Apply a skin-tone concealer-type material between the line and your actual eye.
▼ And add on eyeliner to the top of your eye.
▼ Curl your lashes.
▼ Put on mascara.
▼ Add eyeliner to the bottom of your eye too.
▼ And soften the eyeliner again with a Q-Tip.
▼And here’s the end result!
So, what do you think? Okay, the model is beautiful whatever kind of make-up she wears, but the finished look seems quite natural doesn’t it? If you want to create a subtle double eyelid, it may be worth a try; it’s certainly easier than getting surgery, wouldn’t you agree?
