Survey Corps, charge!

There’s a lot of Attack on Titan merchandise out there to buy, what with razors, pet costumes, and even booze based on the smash hit anime and manga. As a matter of fact, with so much tempting merch out there, some fans might not have enough cash in their pocket to buy all they want.

Here with a solution are Visa and Mitsui Sumitomo, who are now offering Attack on Titan credit cards.

Three designs are available, and as is to be expected, the most care seems to have gone into the one bearing the likeness of scene-stealing Levi. Not only is he the series’ most popular male character, his withering gaze should help encourage fiscal responsibility, as he seems to be wearily asking “Are you sure you’ll be able to pay off your statement at the end of the month?”

Also present and accounted for are Attack on Titan’s central trio, childhood friends-turned-giant-slayers Mikasa, Eren, and Armin.

And if being grown up enough to have your own credit card has you gravitating towards more mature characters, the final design features Erwin, commander of the Survey Corps, and mad scientist Hange.

If even mixing your love of anime with your finances doesn’t fully satisfy your fandom cravings, you’ll be happy to know that 2,000 of the first applicants will receive a clear file with illustrations of Eren, Mikasa, Levi, and Armin. Another 1,500 early adopters who also apply for an iD debit card will receive a set of three iD cards with designs matching those of the credit cards.

Finally, 25 applicants who charge more than 30,000 yen (US$250) to their Attack on Titan Visa between now and April 30 will be randomly selected to receive a figure of Levi matching his pose on the credit card illustration.

▼ Hopefully it turns out better than that other time the character was given physical form.

Applications can be made online here. Get yours today and spend your holiday shopping smirking at how much more macho your card is than your friend’s Pokémon Visa.
