Tokyo Game Show 2016’s two business days are over, and this Saturday the venue opens its doors to the general public! Here’s a teaser of what’s on show!
The hint’s in the name: Tokyo Game Show is a celebration of Japanese gaming, with all the newest and most quintessentially Japanese games on show. However, the event also has a decidedly international air, which is immediately apparent upon approaching the Makuhari Messe event center in Chiba!
▼ The logo for this year is bright and colorful, and can be spotted on T-shirts and merchandise like mouse pads. It’s also the 20th anniversary of the event this year!
▼ Soooooooo cute! Until you remember there’s a sweaty person inside that suit…
▼ Any Monster Hunter fans in the house?
▼ Persona 5 is due for release in North America and Europe in February next year!
▼ Twitch had a much bigger presence than last year – let’s hope lots more Japanese gamers will take up streaming via the platform!
▼ It’s Arnie!
▼ Nioh is another game that will release in February next year – worldwide!
▼ Yakuza 6 is out in December in Japan, but how long do we have to wait for a Western localisation?
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is another massive new entry to be released in February – which is looking to be an amazing month for gaming! Let’s hope our wallets can take the hit! We played a demo of the game and gave our thoughts about it in our Resident Evil 7: Biohazard post!
And of course, there was plenty of beautiful cosplay to ooh and aah over! Check out our beautiful booth ladies post!
▼ The Indie developer section is a great place to check out if you’re into hidden gems.
▼ And there’s also plenty of awesome merchandise on sale this year again, too!
