Loaded and love Pokémon? There is a $1,300 skirt that has your name on it.
For those of you in North America, you’ve likely spent all your money at the various Black Friday sales that accompany American Thanksgiving. Or maybe you waited for some good Cyber Monday deals the following week. If, despite all that mad shopping, you still have a bunch of money burning a hole in your wallet, then might we suggest some designer Pokémon clothes that will definitely make you the talk of the town?
Together with Prabal Gurung, an American fashion designer based in New York, Pokémon has a new line of clothing that will appeal to trainers who are worried about what the members of high society will think of them. With status inevitably comes a hefty price tag, so you probably won’t have to fight off too many Pokémon trainers to get some.
▼ Admittedly, it is a pretty cute Jigglypuff shirt.
▼ That is also a great looking pencil skirt.
▼ We could be convinced to get an embroidered silk Pikachu dress for the right price….
The least expensive item you can buy is a Jigglypuff T-shirt priced at US$325. If you are willing to shell out significantly more, you can get the pencil skirt for $1,295, or the Pikachu dress for $1,395. The skirt is sure to turn some heads as it features the silhouettes of some very recognizable starters. You won’t find many people wondering “Who’s that Pokémon?” when you wear it around town.
If you would prefer to display your love for Pokémon in a more subtle way, there are some other clothes rounding out the collection that won’t out you as a chic-geek, but the label still definitely says Pokémon. If you are interested in seeing the rest of the collection make sure you hop over to Just Jeffrey.
▼ To give you a taste, cropped spiky sweater possibly made from pure Mareep wool, $1,450
The Pokémon games are clearly loved by people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds, so either Nintendo is trying to appease their one-percenters, or Gurung is a huge Poké-maniac. If you can’t find something in your price range here, there are plenty of other great clothing options available for you out there. A new Pokémon game is a great excuse for a few new additions to your wardrobe!
