Japanese Twitter users cannot get enough of this pair of Mexican cosplayers【Photos】

Jan 6, 2017

They’ve got high looks, high praise and now a high number of Japanese fans.

There are a couple of ways to know if you’ve made it as a cosplayer. The first is to win the World Cosplay Summit (WCS), which is held every year in Nagoya, and the second is to have adoring fans all over the world. It seems like TWIN cosplay, the duo consisting of Shema Arroyo and Juan Carlos Tolento from Mexico, has officially reached the cosplaying peak as they won the WCS in 2015 and accumulated hordes of gushing fans from the U.S., Spain, and now Japan.

▼ Introducing Shema Arroyo and Juan Carlos Tolento!

▼ They have made costumes for several characters and a wide range of titles.

Though all of their fine work has left an impression those who have seen them, it’s the costumes worn by Shema as Dracule Mihawk and Zoro, both from One Piece, that are making Japanese fans scream, “Ikemen!” (“Hot guys!”).

▼ Just a quick selfie to quicken our heartbeats. No big deal.

▼ Fantastic and fierce reproduction of Mihawk.

▼ A monster in a bed, huh?

▼ The same man, but an entirely different feel.

These two cosplayers love putting together intricate costumes and doing their best to match the look and feel of the characters they are trying to embody. Looking at all the brilliant photos they’ve shared, there’s no denying that their body of work is really impressive.

▼ Definitely a dynamic and dazzling duo.

▼ We can’t help but adore this photo of Juan.

▼ Shh…don’t tell anyone that this is a costume.

We’ve reached a point in worldwide geek engagement where not only are the people who make our entertainment famous, the ones who dress up like them are too. If TWIN cosplay doesn’t inspire you to pick up a sewing needle, there are always other fantastic cosplayers that you can look to for ideas. We can’t wait to see what they have planned for 2017!
