Beautiful Japanese race queens bring the glamour to Tokyo Motor Show

Oct 26, 2017

Mr Sato and his friend Butch paid a visit to the biennial auto show ahead of its official opening day.

While some exhibitions and conventions are held annually, or even bi-annually, in Tokyo, fans of the city’s Motor Show have to wait a whole two years for each instalment. Which is why our Japanese language reporter Mr Sato and his friend Butch (a.k.a. Big Wave) went a little crazy with sheer joy when they were invited to attend a press day this year ahead of the show’s official 2017 opening.

The Motor Show will be held at its usual venue, at Odaiba’s Tokyo Big Sight, from 28 October-5 November where approximately 150 companies from 10 countries will be exhibiting products that show off some of their most innovative state-of-the-art technologies.

With 800,000 people expected to visit the Tokyo Motor Show this year, Butch and Mr Sato were keen to get a preview of some of the lovely sights on offer at the show. After stepping inside, they were astounded by the variety of displays.

▼ There were trucks…

▼ Extra-large trucks…

▼ Cars…

▼ Flashy cars…

▼ And motorbikes.

▼ Butch even had fun trying out different motorbikes to match his look.

There were also a number of beautiful booth ladies on the premises, offering stickers and catalogues to attendees.

Butch was so excited by all the shiny vehicles at the venue that Mr Sato had to remind him that there were other aspects of the show to enjoy, including photos with the lovely Tokyo Motor Show ladies.

According to Mr Sato, many of the companies at the show are now offering VR presentations to attendees, in a trend that appears to be increasing in popularity with every iteration of the event. With lots to see and do, Butch and Mr Sato had a great day out at the Tokyo Motor Show and they hope you enjoyed walking through with them on their press tour too!
