Like gyūdon beef bowls? Love Nintendo’s pink vacuum-mouthed mascot Kirby? Then you’d better head down to your nearest Sukiya restaurant quick and pick up one of these adorable little windup walking models!
For an unspecified but definitely limited period only, visitors to Japanese gyūdon chain Sukiya who order a “sukisuki” set will receive a free wind-up Kirby toy as part of Nintendo’s year-long 20 Years of Kirby celebrations.
There are five characters from the Kirby gameworld up for grabs, but they’ll be handed out completely at random, meaning that Nintendo fans who simply must have the complete set will need to pay plenty of visits to the famous fast food restaurant. No swapsies!
From left to right: Kirby, Waddle Dee, Meta Knight, King Dedede and… who knows!?
The sukisuki meal sets include a side dish and drink, and can be applied to any existing menu item for an extra cost of 150 yen (US$1.79), which is a pretty good deal if you ask us!
For more information, head over to Sukiya’s Kirby campaign page (Japanese only, sorry!). These toys won’t be around for long, so get a move on!
