I’ve got my hunches, but this iPhone banana case probably doesn’t grow in bunches4

You’ve been through a bubble wrap case, iPhone underpants, and even talked to your friend using a piece of toast, but those are just fads. You want something that will stand the test of time. Well, every little kid has used a banana as a phone, so why not transform your iPhone into a banana? It’s timeless.

While the banana case is sold in Japan, the product actually originates in Taiwan. The makers claim that “there’s no doubt you will get more attention from your friends” by using this oversized case. It’s also “made of comfortable materials that you’ll want to touch over and over again” and is stain and scratch resistant.

The iBanana, as it’s also called, is an impressive 31 cm (12.2 in) long. It is designed to only fit the iPhone 5 and allows you to use the home button, screen, side buttons, and front and back cameras. But good luck trying to charge your phone with three inches of banana in the way!

Reddit users have caught on and have been talking about “the biggest iPhone case in the world,” which was found in Tokyo by the original poster:

Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring banana phone!

The best part about this is that if you are being chased by someone, you can throw the discarded case behind you making your pursuer slip in a comical fashion.

Japan has the best inventions

Anytime you answer you are required to say yellow instead of hello.

Im just confused as to why the case is left handed.

I know, why is it so hard to find a goddamn right-handed banana phone?

This is outrageously impractical.

That looks fun for five minutes or at a Halloween party.

How fast can we ship these to the united states?

If you must have this banana phone, you can order it from Amazon Japan for 4,650 yen (US$46.50) and hopefully get international shipping. But is this jumbo iPhone case worth the price? Maybe it’s just a silly conversation piece to whip out at parties, with no actual practical use. What am I saying? I HAVE TO HAVE ONE!

BANANA PHOOOOOONE!!!
