Deco eyelashes from Japan let you add butterflies, jewels and the night sky to your cosplay makeup

May 25, 2017

The only problem is deciding which design to choose from the beautiful new collection.

When cosplayers want to complete their look with creative makeup, they often have to spend hours pouring through video tutorials and practicing new techniques in order to achieve showstopping results.

Now there’s a quick and simple way to add some fantasy to your gaze with this eye-catching collection of eyelashes from Japanese designer Miyuki. Incorporating tiny jewels, glistening flowers and butterfly wings, these “deco lashes” add magic to your makeup in just a few seconds, and come in a number of gorgeous designs.

First up in the range is the pretty Hydrangea, which features a cluster of tansparent magenta flowers, embellished with several small jewels.

Another Hydrangea design adds a silver filigree leaf to purple-hued flowers and sparkly jewels.

Miyuki has released dozens of floral designs in the past, including lashes with tiny sakura petals for the cherry blossom viewing season, but now, as we head into June, her flower of choice is the one currently coming into bloom, the hydrangea.

Butterfly lovers will fall head over heals for the chance to add these wings to the corners of their eyes.

This jewel encrusted design would be perfect for cosplaying as Queen Elsa of Arendelle from the animated Disney film Frozen.

Those looking for some celestial inspiration, or a unique Sailor Moon style, will love these starry night lashes.

All six designs, plus several more, are currently available to purchase from Japanese novelty retailer Village Vanguard, where they range in price from 1,890 yen (US$16.93) for the night sky lashes up to 9,720 yen for the butterfly pair. Stocks are selling fast, so you’ll need to get in quick to get your hands on one of these, but the good news is Miyuki’s designs can also be found at a number of stores in Harajuku, Shijuku, Ikebukuro, Fukuoka and Sapporo too.
