How would you like to live in the Leaning Tower of Pisa…or something close to it? That pretty much fits the description of this newly constructed apartment building in South Korea that inexplicably tilted to the side just days before completion. So if you’re looking for a slightly unconventional place to live, why not give this building a try? Just beware of sliding furniture…
We’re still scratching our heads at what happened to this new apartment building in Asan City, South Chungcheong Province (just south of Seoul). The seven-story building was on the verge of completion a few days ago when it mysteriously tilted to the side at an angle of 30 degrees. The local fire department has judged the possibility of collapse to be high, and no one is allowed on the roads in the vicinity. Police are currently investigating the stability of the ground beneath it to see if the cause of the tilt lies there.
Net users posted almost 500 comments after seeing the above pictures, including:
“What a novel design!”
“They should just name the building ‘The Leaning Tower of Pisa’!”
“They should still sell it like that, or else it’s being wasteful.”
“At least it happened before there were people living there!”
“It looks like it was made with CG…”
“What happens if there’s an earthquake?”
In reality, we can’t imagine anyone actually being able to live there, unless they have some sort of Spiderman-like powers to adhere to any surface.
