This dog’s owner brought home an unexpected guest which sent the poor pooch running for the nearest safe hiding place where its enemy couldn’t reach.
What kind of fearsome creature could have given this canine such a fright…?
A Japanese user uploaded this photo of their dog to Twitter which has been retweeted almost 15,000 times, mostly with comments along the lines of ‘cuuute’ and ‘poor thing’. But before you go condemning the owner for bringing home a vicious new pet that would drive their current dog into a literal corner, take a look at the picture below.

Their cute dog has wedged himself in between the sink and the washing machine to get away from a scary intruder into his territory: the dreaded Roomba! The iRobot Roomba is a ‘vacuum cleaning robot’ that can be set to trundle around your house vacuuming the floor as it goes. The device is extremely popular because, let’s face it, who really likes vacuuming?
However, pets often aren’t quite so enamored with the vacuuming robot as their owners are, and don’t know what to make of this round, noisy creature that barges in and starts acting like it owns the place. Some of them run for safety like this particular doggy, but for others curiosity gets the better of them leading to hilarious hijinks that inevitably find their way onto YouTube. Perhaps this dog will eventually learn to live in harmony with its Roomba pal, like these kitties in the video below. If only they’d make one big enough for humans to ride – oh, the fun that could be had!
