This lamp folds in so many different ways that it’s like owning a thousand different lamps.
Origami, the art of folding paper, is what Belgium architect and inventor Thomas Hick was probably inspired by when designing this minimalistic lamp. Originally he created it as a wedding gift for a friend, but after posting pictures of his design online, the lamp started popping up on websites all over the world. Individuals and big companies bent over backwards trying to get Thomas to create more of his utterly unique lighting solution, and he is finally ready give the people what they want.
The design of this user-folded lamp is very simple. Made from a single sheet of metal, the multitude of folding options allows each owner to create something that is personal and one of a kind.
▼ Sharp design!
▼ Both children and adults love it.
Another really amazing aspect of this lamp is that you can adjust the light by touching any side of the lamp. Coming in six different colors (Matt [sic] Black & Gold, Matt White & Gold, Matt White & Copper, Sanded Matt White & Red Chilli, Brilliant Black & White Pearl, and Original), there is definitely a version that perfectly complements the hues of your decor. Also, you don’t have to worry about the size of the lamp as at 14 inches (36 centimeters) wide and 10 inches high it will sit comfortably in almost any space in your home.

Currently it is only available through a Kickstarter campaign, but we hope it enters the general market in short order. As soon as it does, we’ve got an empty space in our office where this lamp would fit perfectly, and if it doesn’t fit, we’ll fold it just right so it does.
