We take a look back at some of the cute hamsters who stole our hearts this year in this adorable photo collection.
We all know cats are cute but this year the humble hamster has been giving them all a run for their money! Let’s take a look at what we’ve learned from some of the most memorable photos below.
▼ The blissed-out hamster, like this little guy with a passion for pencils, is always a sight to behold.
▼ The little critters look cute when they’re snoozing but when it involves a tiny little futon it’s just. Too. Much.
Hamster bottoms were big in 2014 and they proved popular again in 2015. With derrières as cute as these, we don’t think their popularity will wane anytime soon!
Who knew hamsters liked to travel? A passenger on the shinkansen bullet train spotted this backpacking hamster with some rather large luggage.
Inquisitive hamsters like to make holes, like this one who chewed its way into its owner’s beloved capybara.
Some don’t mind being mistaken for other furry four-legged creatures. This one’s being used as a mouse.
▼ Surprisingly, hamsters have a thing for glass jars. Take it from this little guy who fell asleep inside one.
▼ Meanwhile, this one sought refuge in a glass bottle during an earthquake.
▼ This is what happens when you take a panorama shot with a running hamster.
Some hamsters create interesting shapes with their bodies. Who knew they could look like round balls of fur?
▼ This little guy morphed into a triangular-shaped onigiri rice ball.
▼ If there’s a place to hide, your hamster will find it.
▼ Look out! Hamsters love to burrow away into soft furnishings!
▼ Hamsters eating are always cute!
▼ If you make them a house with holes, they’ll love it.
▼ And if you give them a fluffy keyring character, it will become their best buddy!
▼ Finally, who could forget Ginji the bar-tending hamster?
Ginji’s unique setup provided us with lots of awwws, so it was a very sad day when we heard the news that he passed away. Rest in peace little one.
If you enjoyed the happy hamsters from 2015, there’s bound to be plenty more in the coming year. Whatever the furry critters get up to, we’re sure it will be cute!
