Creating blackboard art this good looks almost as difficult as playing a Dark Souls game.
There’s no doubt that the Dark Souls franchise provides some of the most difficult experiences available to modern gamers, so we’re sure the upcoming release of Dark Souls III has gotten challenge-craving folks absolutely excited. And to ensure the excitement level is at maximum, FromSoftware, the game’s developer, held a play session for the new game earlier this month!
But as fun as the game surely is, what really got the Internet talking was the stunning work of blackboard artist Rena Rena, whose Frozen blackboard art captivated the Internet last year.
The young woman drew one of her blackboard art pieces at the event, and the entire process was captured on video. A time-lapse version has been uploaded to YouTube so everyone can marvel at her ability to turn a simple blackboard into an entirely different world.
In case it’s not clear from the video, the image Rena Rena creates is a bit of the scenery from the first level of the new game. While it lacks the color of the actual game, to our eyes, it’s even more gorgeous! We can’t imagine there’s anyone who doesn’t love her art, even people who aren’t fans of brutally difficult games.
Dark Souls III is set to be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Japan on March 24 and the rest of the world on April 12. No word yet on when Rena Rena will come to our houses and draw chalk murals on our walls, but we hope it’s soon!
