When you are kicking back in the theater on December 18 with a big bag of popcorn in one hand and a tall drink in the other, there’s only one thing you’ll be missing: appropriately themed cup clingers that will level up your movie game from Padawan to a Jedi Knight.
These clever cup clingers went on sale at Village Vanguard novelty stores all over Japan just yesterday. There are seven different versions to be collected including Darth Vader, a Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, Yoda, C-3PO, R2-D2 and a mysterious 7th character. We’re definitely curious about who that could be!
▼ “No…THIS is your drink.”
▼ “So…what are you drinking?”
▼ Galaxy’s best bounty hunter, also gold medalist on the pommel horse
▼ Drink this soda you will, yes.
▼ The odds of you not liking this beverage are 3,720 to 1
▼ R2 is hanging on for dear life
▼ Use the Force and figure out the mystery character (it’s probably going to be Luke)
Each figure costs 490 yen (US$4.10), but you’ll have to rely on a bit of blind luck choosing which one you’ll get as the packaging is exactly the same for each figure. Even though these there are no new characters here (although you never know with the mystery one), it’s certainly fun to indulge in a little nostalgia once in a while. Make sure you get these while they are available before they disappear into a galaxy far, far away.
