The Chibiusa Cafe, Tokyo’s newest Sailor Moon themed restaurant, reveals its awesome menu

Anime fans, don’t miss your chance to try the Tuxedo Mask Nihilistic Pasta.

Chibiusa, also known as Sailor Chibi Moon, is easily the most polarizing character in the cast of hit anime and manga franchise Sailor Moon. On one hand, the time-traveling tyke’s arrival kicks off a dramatic story arc and gives titular heroine Sailor Moon her first opportunity to act as a mentor for someone else. But on the other hand, detractors point out that she’s whiny, annoyingly selfish, and regularly absorbs all the focus of any scene she’s in.

But while Chibiusa is a love-her-or-hate-her character within the anime itself, we think all of the series’ fans will be happy for the opening of the Chibiusa Cafe this month in Tokyo.

The limited-time eatery can be found at the Roppongi Hills shopping, dining, and museum complex, also the venue for the new Sailor Moon art exhibition. In the same vein as the site’s previous Pokémon, Hatsune Miku, and Takashi Murakami cafes, the restaurant will be serving up imaginative themed food and drink inspired by the artwork on display elsewhere in the same building.

▼ Sailor Moon Special Hamburger (1,600 yen [US$14.20]), with star-shaped tater tots

▼ Tuxedo Mask’s Nihilistic Pasta (1,300 yen), featuring a pie-crust mask and spicy tomato sauce

▼ Three-Variety Talisman Curry (1,450 yen), with the magical items of Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto accompanied by yellow, spinach, and squid ink roux.

For dessert:

▼ Heavenly Miracle Romance Parfait (1,250 yen) and Chibiusa’s Custard Pudding a la Mode (1,100 yen)

▼ Luna P Ball Berry Mousse (1,200 yen)

And since it wouldn’t be a proper Japanese cafe without some fancy drinks:

▼ Five Sailor Senshi Beauty Juice, made with the Chocola BB Joma energy supplement endorsed by adult, white-collar Sailor Moon

▼ And last, the Evil Black Crystal Cocktail (1,000 yen), in alcoholic or non-alcohol (and also no-caffeine) versions

Like Roppongi Hills’ Sailor Moon art exhibit, the Chibiusa Cafe will be open from April 16 to June 19.
