Find out why the biggest pug café in Japan is going to the dogs.
Cat cafés and owl cafés are a dime a dozen in Japan, so if you want an animal café that’s somewhat unique, you should head to one of four pug cafés in Japan.
We decided to take a trip to the largest pug café in all of Japan, Dog Salon Living Room. As soon as we opened the door we could tell we were in for a pug-tastic treat!
▼ How many are there?!?
The café currently has 11 pugs living there and you’ll be able to play with them on the ground floor that has some small tables and a big sofa. Even though the pugs are there for your amusement and love, don’t think they aren’t happily paid off with loads of treats!
Guests can choose one of two drink courses when they come to Living Room. For 500 yen (US$4.80), you get one drink and an hour of play time. For 1000 yen ($9.60), you get unlimited time and unlimited drinks!
▼ An assortment of human and doggie treats.
▼ Don’t mix up which is which!
▼ These adorable cookies are human treats!
▼ They’re very interested in what’s in the human’s hands.
People from all over Japan are coming to this pug café, so to ensure that everyone gets a chance to play with them, reservations are required, so make sure you call ahead. Once you get there, you’ll be snug on a rug with a pug and a mug, and life doesn’t get much better than that!
