Anime director Kenji Kamiyama teased news of a new Ghost in the Shell in his official Twitter account on September 19.

He posted the above Tweet in response to a fan inquiring about a possible third season of the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex television anime.
Kamiyama directed the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG anime, as well as the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society anime film. He is currently directing a new original anime film titled Hirune Hime ~Shiranai Watashi no Monogatari~, as well as acting as chief director on the Cyborg 009 Call of Justice CG anime film project.
