It is clearly the best one out there, so why bother with anything less than the cream of the crop.
DJ Piko-Taro has taken the Internet by storm with his electronic ear worm “Pen Pineapple Apple Pen”. Whether it’s his look, the odd subject matter, the catchy beat, or a masterful combination of the three, his song has sailed around the world with it even making an appearance on America’s late night TV.
A viral video such as this is bound to spawn hundreds of parodies and spoofs (see above), but perhaps we have found the best of the bunch. Thai sensation Chris the Pianist, has posted his own version of “PPAP” and we have to say, we almost like it more than the original.
The only thing that would have made this video better is if we heard less of comedian’s electronic beat track and more of Chris’s passionate piano playing — well, as passionate as you can get playing a song about two pens, an apple and a pineapple.
▼ Pineapple pen!
Never mind, after watching the video a few more times, we are ready to put it on auto-repeat and declare it the song of the fall! PPAP!
