We apologize in advance if you have a strange fear of cucumbers or an all too common fear of snakes, but this was just too cool to pass up. The following video shows how a humble green cucumber can be transformed into what can only be described as a pickle python.
The video was uploaded by NoVe Kitchen & Bar and features Master Sushi Chef, Hiro Terada showing off his amazing knife skills. Here’s what he did:
▼ First, thinly slice diagonally down the length of the cucumber. Be sure to not go all the way through!
▼ Turn the cucumber over and do the same on the opposite side. Watch those fingers!
▼ Your cucumber will look like this, with hundreds of tiny cuts.
▼ Next, soak the cucumber in salt water for about half an hour to soften it up.
And there you have it! Your very own creepy crawly cucumber snake!
Although the video seems to be promoting the knife the chef is using, the skill needed to create this wiggly cucumber is amazing. Watch the entire process here:
