You know that feeling when you’re watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and think to yourself, “this is great, but I really wish I could see Lisa Vanderpump’s face seven times its actual size”?
As luck would have it, just a few days ago, Samsung began selling a 110-inch UltraHD4K monster of a TV. That means your dreams can be a reality as long as you live in the right place and have the necessary funds–and we have a feeling it’d be totally worth it because as well as boasting amazing picture quality, this thing is absolutely enormous.
This TV stands at 1.8m tall and 2.6m wide making it the world’s largest television on the open market to date. If you’re concerned about it fitting through your door then don’t worry. If your door is such a size that it can’t easily accommodate one, you probably won’t be able to afford it anyway.
A set will set you back around US$142,000 (for the basic model), equivalent to around 38,000 Big Macs; 140 riding lawn mowers; or four testicles. Seems reasonable.
Also, if you happen to be a wealthy couch potato in North America, too bad. The UltraHD4K was only available in China, the Middle East, and Europe on launch. Then again, if you have the money to burn on one of these things, you probably wouldn’t wince at the extra cost to import one.
Ah well, since I live in Japan and only have two testicles (pending examination) I guess I’ll have to make due with the television I have. But boy, if I could have a 110 inch TV my Duck Hunt score would be through the roof.
