This one goes out to all our readers in the Philippines–Charice is back, and she’s telling everyone to “Let it Go!”
We haven’t heard much about Charice for about a year, so it was a pleasant surprise to see the talented singer belting out the iconic song from Disney’s Frozen in a short YouTube karaoke clip. Also, we love that short new-ish ‘do she’s sporting!
Charmaine Pempengco, better known simply as Charice, is a 22-year-old Filipina singer who shot to fame on YouTube and was largely introduced to the world through The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show. She released her first studio album in 2010 and quickly became an international superstar.
Earlier this month, Charice uploaded a clip of herself singing “Let it Go” at karaoke to her YouTube account. It’s a shortie, but a nice little treat for all of her fans:
Also, it’s a shame that the video appears to have been taken on a cell phone, leaving the sound a bit muffled. Then again, we’d probably shy away from even going to karaoke with her if we had the chance to hear her powerful vocals in person!
