Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Super Mega Important Debate is back! This weekend, we’re putting Japanese TV under the spotlight and asking you, our good-looking and never-shy-to-venture-an-opinion readers, whether you think the TV shows broadcast in Japan are wonderfully entertaining or a big bag of steaming horse poop.
Dozens of variety shows featuring the same annoying celebrities day after day; garish graphics popping up all over the screen; the constant ‘eeeeeee’s and ‘kawaaaaiiii’s from the studio audience… Japanese television is enough to drive you insane sometimes. But on the other hand, isn’t it kind of charming? And then there’s the anime and the quirky comedy acts that give us genuine belly laughs—maybe it’s not so bad after all?
You know what to do by now, kids: use your magical finger of judgement and click on the option below that best sums up how you feel about television in Japan. Then take to the comments section further down the page and get unnecessarily angry at perfect strangers for having an opinion different to yours.
Let’s do this!
Thanks for stopping by our site folks! Come back soon for more pointless debates, and enjoy your weekend!
