There are plenty of horror movie villains that scare us so bad we can’t sleep at night. These include the classics like Freddy Kruger, Jason, and Chucky as well as some newer terrors like Pennywise, Sadako, and Ghostface. Well, isn’t it about time to expand the roster of baddies that keep you up at night? They might not be household screamfest names yet, but what about Freeza, Cell and Evil Majin Buu?
Yes…the Dragon Ball Z villains. We are not pulling your leg (nor ripping it off painfully), but one artist has rendered these two-dimensional anime characters into truly terrifying creatures of the night. So, hide your kids and hide your wives, because it’s about to get super scary.
Edgar Gómez obviously has a talent, and it’s his ability to give us the heebie jeebies. Though he has many gorgeously crafted works, we always have a special place in our hearts for art that features iconic Akira Toriyama characters. You will never want to turn your back on this version of Freeza, the Emperor of the Universe. Would you be able to go against the demands of this terrifying superior being? Probably not, especially if he was looking at your with those red eyes.
▼ It’s the smile before something really bad is about to happen.
▼ Don’t look into his eyes!
The next villain is Cell in his final form. Considering how he is bright green and purple in the anime version, we shouldn’t be all that scared of him. How scary can green and purple be, right? Right?!?
▼ Wrong! He will stop your heart with a twitch of his purple eyes and that will be the end.
And finally, the crème de la crème of what it means to terrify someone out of watching Dragon Ball Z ever again. We can’t get this monster out of our heads!
▼ Edgar just had to go with super pointy teeth…Majin boohoo, go away!
You probably won’t ever look at Dragon Ball Z characters in the same way. If you are brave enough to like what you see, Edgar has other equally artistic, but less disturbing artwork on his Facebook page.
Good luck sleeping tonight!
