Japanese convenience store essential gets a cool Human Made makeover.

Ever since Family Mart opened a new “Famima” flagship store in Tokyo last month, the convenience store chain has been undergoing something of a transformation, leaning heavily into street culture through its collaboration with Nigo, the founder of streetwear brand Bape and lifestyle brand Human Made.

After releasing a whole slew of stylish new goods at branches nationwide, Family Mart is now forging ties with Nigo once again, this time for an exclusive new Cup Noodle that bears the name “Human Made”.

Fans of the brand will love all the nods to Human Made in this Cup Noodle, starting with the distinctive heart logo, which usually appears with three diagonal stripes on the upper right. For this collaboration, those stripes are given a wavy twist to resemble Nissin’s instant noodles, with the heart appearing behind the words “Human Made”, printed in the distinctive Cup Noodle font.

The real showstopper lies beneath the lid, because when you lift it up, you’ll be met by Human Made’s iconic polar bear graphic.

While the cute details alone are enough reason to want one of these, there’s even more incentive to buy as the chain is running a campaign to mark the release. Customers who purchase one limited-edition Human Made Cup Noodle will receive one of three Human Made items: one of two sticker designs or an A4-size clear file.

Buy two Cup Noodle Human Made products and you’ll receive one of two larger items: a fork or an eco bag.

The campaign runs from 10 a.m. on 1 September until 14 September, and the promotional gifts are only available while supplies last. The limited-edition Cup Noodle will retail for 248 yen (US$1.67), and can be purchased at Family Mart stores across Japan from 1 September.
