It’s estimated that people lose an average of 50 to 100 strands of hair a day. Most of those will probably go unnoticed, but if throwing those fallen hairs away in the garbage seems too boring a task, you could find some other use for them.
What we don’t recommend doing, though, is lighting your fallen hair on fire like this Japanese university student, for some reason, decided to do…
Around 10am on November 12, a 24-year-old university student living on the second floor of a four-story apartment building in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture, took some hair that had come out from usual brushing and lit them on fire over an ashtray. Normally people throw their hair away when it comes out, but lighting it on fire must’ve seemed like a fun, more exciting way of disposing of his lost locks.
The student got more excitement than he bargained for, however, when the fire spread throughout his one-bedroom apartment, forcing him to leap from his second-floor balcony in an attempt to escape, resulting in a broken right leg and a fractured hip.

So remember kids, only you can prevent forest fires. And house fires. And almost all fires really, so play it safe!
