The Johto region is coming to Pokémon GO this week in the game’s biggest update yet.

When Pokémon GO launched last summer, fans were overjoyed at its astounding scale. 142 Pocket Monsters, who could be hiding literally anywhere? Simply amazing.

But the world’s Pokémon Trainers quickly rose to the challenge, and before long some had completely filled up their Pokédexes by capturing or evolving each and every available species. But the mainline Pokémon video game and anime series have a 20-year head start on Pokémon GO, and developer Niantic is pulling from that legacy to restock the mobile game’s pond with a new batch of Pocket Monsters to catch.

In typical fashion, the company is being secretive about when exactly the game’s latest update will go into effect, but it has announced that sometime this week more than 80 Pokémon from the series’ Gold and Silver arcs will be added to Pokémon GO. Originally found in the game world’s Johto region, the new arrivals include Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile, who join the previously announced Pichu and Togepi.

The company is also promising a handful of other improvements, such as new onscreen reactions from encountered Pokémon, expanded evolution options, a streamlined interface for using items, and a wider wardrobe in which to dress your avatar (you’ll also be able to change your avatar’s clothes after choosing an outfit for the first time, something players have been clamoring for since the game’s launch). The biggest reason to get back into the game, though, is of course the new Pokémon, so good hunting! And if, when you fire up the app again, you should happen to notice you’re still missing a few of the original 142, we’re here to help.
