Hardcore anime fans will no doubt already be itching to get a look at forthcoming TV anime thriller, Terror in Resonance, which is being directed by none other than Shinichirō Watanabe, the man behind smash hits such as Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop and Space Dandy.
You may have heard that the anime will be screened for the first time outside Japan at LA’s Anime Expo in early July, but our readers down-under will be excited to learn that just a few hours later, Terror in Resonance will premiere at Oz Comic-Con in Melbourne.
Thanks to Madmen Entertainment securing the rights to stream the forthcoming anime, Oz Comic-Conattendees will be treated to a special screening at this year’s event on July 6.
Here’s the official press release from the Oz Comic-Con team:
“Set in an alternate version of the present, Terror In Resonance tells the story of a mysterious attack on Tokyo in which the only clue is a strange video uploaded to the internet. Directed by the renowned Shinichiro Watanabe, also known for his hit television anime Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, and with a soundtrack composed by Yoko Kanno, the film has been an eagerly anticipated release. The exclusive Oz Comic-Con screening will also feature a video introduction from Watanabe with a special message for his fans.
The Oz Comic-Con team and Madman Entertainment are excited to bring these exclusive premieres to Australia to deliver the ultimate pop culture experience for fans. “
You can find out more about Oz Comic-Con here, or get up to speed about Terror in Resonance over at the anime’s official website. I have to say, it sounds pretty cool.
