Full-scale To Love-Ru figure being offered to the public for the first time, but the slender character has a hefty price.
In the summer of last year, we stopped by Wonder Festival, Japan’s biggest figure and model exhibition. Even among the huge variety of amazing works on display, one that really stood out was the full-scale statue of anime To Love-ru’s Momo. Not only was Momo clad in a wedding veil and bridal lingerie, she stood an impressive 160 centimeters (63 inches) tall.

Of course, the statue was just for display purposes. After all, something that large and detailed would be beyond the budgets, and display space allowances, of most fans. But manufacturer Design Coco thinks there are some superfans out there who’d like Momo to come live with them, and so it’s now offering a limited number of the massive figures for sale.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the To Love-Ru franchise, Design Coco is building ten units of its 1:1 scale Momo. The company expects demand to be slightly higher than that, though, so the purchasers will be chosen through a lottery system. Applications are being accepted at manga retailer Tora no Ana’s Akihabara C branch between now and June 26, after which 10 people will be randomly selected to be given the right to pay 2,722,727 yen (US$24,750), inclusive of tax, for the statue.

That’s an undeniably huge amount to pay for a single piece of anime merch, but since Momo weighs approximately 30 kilograms (66 pounds), we suppose you could also use her as a weightlifting barbell, so it’s not an entirely impractical purchase. Besides, with her in the house your other life-sized anime statues will have company when you have to step out for a bit.
