The final day of winter Comiket came with some unexpected surprises.

Winter Comiket 2018 is now done and dusted, having welcomed more than half a million attendees, who came to purchase dojinshi self-published comics at the three-day fair, and over 25,000 cosplayers, who brightened up the outer grounds of the Tokyo Big Sight venue.

With 8,151 male cosplayers and 17,809 female cosplayers registered for the event, there were plenty of interesting characters and costumes on display. And after capturing some of the best from the first two days of the fair, our Japanese-language reporter Tasuku Egawa returned for day three, to round off our Winter Comiket 2018 cosplay photo collection.
