Godzilla wants to pour you his own variety of shochu alcohol to celebrate his latest film’s worldwide success. To date, Godzilla has brought in US$477.6 million at the box office worldwide. Japan’s Konishi Brewing Company is marking the occasion by re-releasing its Choujugura shochu in a special collector’s edition Godzilla porcelain bottle.
Shochu grain alcohol is made from 100 percent barley and specially selected water.Godzilla can hold 720ml (about 24oz) of shochu, or enough to get you nice and toasty.
Konishi Brewing began plans for the release five years ago to mark the monster franchise‘s 55th anniversary. Sculptor Shigeaki Ito created the bottle with Godzilla film director Koichi Kawakita. However, it wasn’t released until 2011. The re-release is limited to 3,000 bottles for 10,800 yen each (about US$106).
Other than drink alcohol, Godzilla also loves to eat Snickers and play Skyrim in his spare time.
