It’s never a good choice to try to drown your sorrows with alcohol when you feel like you’re down on luck. As the saying goes, it never rains but it pours and when you’re down and out, not to mention drunk, there’s a high possibility that shit is going to happen.
Let’s not even get into drunk driving; Taiwanese news site ETToday recently reported a bizarre case of a drunken man who broke into someone’s house, and eventually jumped out of a window from the fifth floor, landing him in the hospital. How exactly did all that come together? Details after the break!
The incident happened inJiangsu Province in eastern China. A man named Wang was found in nothing but a pair of briefs, lying on an open platform on the second floor of a high-rise apartment. The 19-year-old, who was drunk, broke into an apartment on the fifth floor occupied by a man named Li and his family at around 11pm. Wang had climbed up the pipes from the first floor and entered Li’s apartment, perhaps trying to steal himself a set of clothes and loot a fortune on his way out, but whatever his plan was, it got thwarted by the unexpected awakening of the 10-year-old daughter of the apartment’s owner.
The burglar had unknowingly roused the girl from slumber when he entered her room through the window. In a moment of panic, he told her that he was Superman, and had flown in from her window. He told her that he was going to fly off soon, and attempted to make his escape down the pipes, but missed a step and ended up “flying” straight down.
Hearing a scream, Li rushed over to his daughter’s room, initially thinking that maybe his little girl had a nightmare. When he entered the room, the girl explained that “uncle Superman just flew out of the window”. When Li looked over the window ledge, he saw a man clad in briefs lying on the platform on the second floor, not moving an inch. He immediately called the cops and Wang was sent to the hospital.
Thankfully, Wang survived the fall with just a few superficial injuries. Good attempt at trying not to scare the girl, but bad luck and intoxication just do not work well together.
