Even if you didn’t back their campaign, these awesome pieces of bushido fashion can now be yours.
Whether they’re storming an enemy castle or extending the front-line of cutting-edge fashion, samurai always get their job done. Remember those Samurai Armor Hoodies we talked about last month? Their month-long crowdfunding campaign has ended in glorious victory, with the project securing not only the US$50,000 it was seeking but an extra $33,472 above that target.
While it’s true that samurai placed a great value on loyalty and lineage, don’t despair if you weren’t part of the crowdfunding vanguard. You can still get your hands on one of these awesome overgarments with the help of Tokyo Otaku Mode, which is taking preorders for Samurai Armor Hoodies right now.
$350 gets you a hoodie in black, red, or white, plus your choice of tatemono helmet ornament and mask.
If you can’t bring yourself to pick just one tatemono and mask combination, additional crests can be order for $30, and masks for $20.
The entire lineup can be ordered here directly from Tokyo Otaku Mode between now and May 20, with shipping scheduled for August.
Follow Casey on Twitter, and you’re sure to always be the best-dressed of your many, many samurai friends and acquaintances.
