One year later, little Ryusei proves he’s still got better moves than most adults.
Last year we were first introduced to Ryusei, the five-year-old Japanese boy who showed off his amazing martial arts skills by copying the complex movements from Bruce Lee’s films nearly perfectly.
And it seems that Ryusei hasn’t slowed down one bit. One year later, he’s even better than he was before, and he’s not afraid to show it off.
Here’s a compilation video that was recently put up on Ryusei’s YouTube channel. Keep in mind as you watch: a six-year-old is doing all of this!
When I was six years old, I couldn’t even beat the first level of Super Mario Bros. 3. Ryusei makes what he does look effortless, but I couldn’t imagine being able to pull off those moves with such accuracy and confidence at any age, much less when I was still in kindergarten.
▼ Here’s a video from Ryusei’s official Facebook page,
showing his exercise regimen, which puts us all to shame.
▼ And it seems martial arts runs in the family.
Here’s Ryusei sparring with his father.
▼ Of course, it’s important to remember that this martial arts prodigy
is six years old, so here he is (first sparring with, then) petting a deer.
▼ And just like all Japanese six-year-olds, he’s learning hiragana.
You may not be able to fight like Ryusei, but you can learn hiragana like him!
Twenty years from now, whether he’s making kick-ass action movies or winning international fighting tournaments, you can say that you were there cheering him on when he was still learning how to read.
