Makoto Shinkai’s latest hit is still hitting the high numbers, and hitting fans in the feels.

Your Name, the latest film from anime director Makoto Shinkai, has gone on to delight movie-goers since its release on August 26, continuing to remain at the top of the Japanese box office. It has sold over 10,000,000 tickets and has grossed over 13.8 billion yen (US$132 million) in the past seven weeks.

And it doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

With great reception at BFI London Film Festival, where it was nominated for “Best Film”, and at the Busan International Film Festival in Korea, the film seems ready to touch the rest of the world with its magic. But it is still wowing fans in Japan, particularly with the release of the latest visual promotion, featuring a stunning scene from the film.

Fans were also delighted to find the visual in the Asahi Shimbun newspaper on October 14, celebrating the over 10,000,000 tickets sold.

Those who have already seen the movie and understand the significance of the scene are now aching to see it again, while those who have still yet to see it are being drawn to the beautiful and tranquil art style.

Readers, if you’ve seen it already please share your thoughts. And if not, let us know if you do plan to see it!
