Take a trip back in time, and enjoy some sushi while you’re at it!
This Thursday, October 27 at 5:30 p.m., chain sushi restaurant Itamae Sushi will open a new branch in the Akasaka neighborhood of Tokyo, this time with an historical theme. The restaurant will allow guests to experience the culture and art of Japan’s Edo period, which lasted from 1603 to 1868, and the interior of the restaurant is designed with kabuki gallery seating, byoubu folding screens, and decorations of ukiyo-e prints.
Customers will also get a bit of entertainment along with their food at the Edo Yatai food stall, where they choose their sushi ingredients and method of preparation, then get to enjoy watching the chef prepare their dish on the spot.
Itamae Sushi restaurants pride themselves on the freshness of their ingredients, as well as the atmosphere their restaurants offer. The chain has also received a Trip Advisor certificate of excellence in 2015, so if you’re in Tokyo and looking for an excellent, genuine sushi experience you may want to give them a try!
