Just squeeze and mix to get a delicious shake in the flavor of your favorite dessert!
It may be hard to guess what this new gadget from toy manufacturer Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. does just from looking at it. Well, it’s actually a cooking toy that you can use to create your own original shake, and we think the concept behind it is simple yet brilliant, not to mention a whole lot of fun!
The item, called the “Squeeze and Shaken (Momitto Shaken)” allows you to make a tasty shake at home using just two simple ingredients. Now, usually, making a shake can be messy business, preparing various ingredients and mixing them in a blender. But with the Squeeze and Shaken, all you need is milk and a cup of store-bought dessert, and there’s no mess at all, since you can take care of the entire process from making the shake to drinking it, all with this one item. Plus, it can also be a fun and creative experience for kids as well,
Here’s how you use the Squeeze and Shaken:
▼ Place a store-bought cup-style dessert of your choice into the Squeeze and Shaken container.
▼ Squeeze and crush the dessert, then let it freeze in the freezer for about five hours.
▼ Take the container out of the freezer, then add 100 cc (3.4 ounces) of milk. Squeeze and mix the contents for about three minutes.
▼ Make sure to pull out the bottom of the silicone container before the squeezing process in order to crush and mix the frozen dessert thoroughly.
▼ Once everything is all mixed, you have your original shake! You can drink it straight from the container with the straw that comes as part of the kit.
It’s all quite simple and clean, isn’t it? Of course, the best part ist that you can use any dessert that comes in a cup, so you can get your shake in whatever flavor you’re in the mood for with a dessert purchased from a convenience store or supermarket.
▼ The Squeeze and Shaken comes in three colors: blue, yellow and pink.
If this looks like something you might be interested in, the Squeeze and Shaken will be available from March 30 at retail and toy stores across Japan for 1,800 yen (US$16), and they’re also taking pre-orders now on the Takara Tomy A.R.T.S.’s special product website. All the squeezing and mixing certainly looks like fun for kids and adults alike, and it’s always nice to be able to do a bit of customizing with your drinks, isn’t it?
