Hot off the heels of our previous announcement surrounding the upcoming release of Attack on Titan-themed plum wine (umeshu), we’ve got another lead on two limited edition sets of the hit manga/anime-inspired beverages. This time around, the sets will each contain three bottles of either plum wine or plum juice, all decorated with beautiful illustrations of the anime’s character designs.
But that’s not even the coolest part–the drinks were crafted using plums grown by the Attack on Titan author’s very own family!
Hajime Isayama from Oyama (now part of Hita City), Oita Prefecture has certainly made a splash with his hit international series Attack on Titan. His hometown has celebrated the young artist’s success with a bevy of Attack on Titan-themed products, the most recent of which happens to be plum wine, otherwise known asumeshu in Japanese. Oh yeah, and should we mention that Isayama’s family also happen to be plum farmers?
Through a collaboration with the hit manga/anime series, local Oyama store Hibiki no Sato is currently producing limited edition bottles of Attack on Titan-themed plum wine and juice made using plums cultivated by Isayama’s own family. Each bottle’s label is superimposed with a gorgeous illustration of a popular character from the series’ anime incarnation. Furthermore, the limited time promotion is being offered through Hibiki no Sato’s online webstore only.
There are two limited edition sets to choose from–one containing alcoholic plum wine, and one containing non-alcoholic plum juice for the younger crowd. Only people aged 20 years or older can order the plum wine, in compliance with Japan’s alcohol drinking laws.

In addition, you may have noticed a fourth plum juice bottle in one of the pictures above featuring fan-favorite character Levi. This special bottle can only be purchased in-person at Oyama’s Hibiki no Sato store. Sounds like as good an excuse as any to take a trip down to Oita Prefecture!
