TODAYS GALLERY STUDIO (Asakusa) will hold their second free gallery event, “Ambiguous☆Bishoujo Art Exhibit,” for artists from April 29 until May 10. If you’re in Tokyo and into cool, sexy, and unusual art, you won’t want to miss it.
The five artists of “Underwater Knee-High Girls,” “Front Zipper Swimsuit,” “Thighs,” and “HIKARU SKIRT” are scheduled to be at the show, along with their 150 unique and creative masterpieces. Because they had the freedom to choose the layout of their art displays, the exhibit will emphasize each artist’s unique view.
So why ambiguously beautiful young girls? The world is filled with many fetishes, and depending on the person viewing them, the results are ambiguous. They may feel something, or they may not. By purposely not showing the faces for some pieces, it makes viewers see details they normally wouldn’t see, like the mysterious curves of the bodies underwater. It also leaves the ambiguity to the imagination of the viewers, creating the ultimate art. The artists purposely added “Ambiguous” in the titles of their artwork, adding attention to the potential of their work. The beauty of the ambiguity of the girls featured in the artwork are sure to be enjoyable by any gender or age.
