
If you live in Japan and love Resident Evil, here’s an opportunity to interview a producer, play the game before its release, and earn some cash too.
The Resident Evil series practically birthed the survival horror game genre and there are millions of fans worldwide who salivate at the prospect of every new game. Since the series dates back to 1996, Capcom is giving fans a chance to relive the glory of some of their older games by producing high-definition remastered versions of early entries in the franchise. The latest game to get the HD treatment is set to be released on January 21, 2016 and is titled Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster. This is the updated version of the GameCube classic Resident Evil Zero and set before the very first Resident Evil game.
The official Resident Evil fan club, Club96, is hiring two people to interview one of the game’s producers, play the game before the launch and then write an article about it. Since they want the article to appeal to fans who are pumped up for the release, Club96 wants two of those excited fans to do the writing. The resulting articles will be published on the Club96 fansite and the official Facebook page.
For anyone who is interested, here are the pertinent details that have been posted on the Town Work, a job-posting magazine.
Requirements: no special experiences or qualifications necessary. Gender is also not a factor.
Location: Shinjuku Mitsui Building, 48th floor
Number of positions: 2
Wage: 30,000 yen (US $255) + transportation costs
Transportation Allowance: Club96 will pay for transportation regardless of where you live in Japan.
Lodging: Lodging will be arranged after the day of the interview has been determined and only if necessary.
On the day: Club96 staff will guide you where you need to go.
Important notes: It is prohibited to disclose confidential matters that have been obtained through this job experience. The report will be distributed online.
It doesn’t say so in the job description, but Japanese language skills are probably necessary to properly complete the job. If however, you meet all those criteria and are a huge Resident Evil fan, this is a unique opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at the newest Resident Evil release.
