CAPCOM confirmed on Tuesday that it will release an HD-remastered update of its Resident Evil Zero (Biohazard Zero in Japan) survival horror game. The game is slated for an early 2016 release for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
CAPCOM originally released the game on the Nintendo Gamecube platform in 2002. The game’s story is set before the events of the first Resident Evil game. Players switch between controlling officer Rebecca Chambers and death row convict Billy Coen as they progress through the game.
CAPCOM released the remastered version of the original Resident Evil game in January. Those who pre-ordered the game received a special theme. The screenshot of the theme, as featured onCAPCOM‘s website last December, originally showed an icon of Resident Evil Zero, though the image was soon updated to remove the icon.
