If you love Nintendo and making art, then this is the chance you’ve been waiting for!
UNIQLO has let you put your own design on t-shirts before, but now they’re giving Nintendo fans a chance to do one better: have their designs become an official UNIQLO t-shirt sold in stores.
Nintendo and UNIQLO have teamed up to run The Global T-Shirt Design Competition. From July 1 to August 31, they’re accepting t-shirt design submissions based around Nintendo characters and themes, and anyone in the world can enter.
Here’s a short video showing off some of the designs that they’re looking for, to provide a little inspiration:
The grand prize winner gets $10,000 and an invitation to the award ceremony with legendary Nintendo game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, as well as a Nintendo NX specially autographed by the man himself. Second place gets the same invitation and NX and a $3,00 dollar prize, and the runner-up gets a “thanks for playing” $500 prize.
So all you awesome Nintendo-loving artists out there, here’s you chance! You can read the detailed Q&A and see how to submit at the official contest website.
With no entry fee and a prize that big, we’ve even created our own design to submit:
▼ Eh? What do you think? Grand prize, here we come.
